Banana & berry yogurt jars

Ingredients

  • Yogurt3 cups · plain, refrigerated
  • Banana2 · peeled and sliced
  • Berries1 1/2 cups · fresh, washed
  • Oats · optional1/2 cup · rolled oats

Method

  1. Wash and drain berries well.
  2. Peel and slice bananas.
  3. Set out clean jars or bowls and measure yogurt.
  4. Spoon half the yogurt into the jars, then add half the banana and berries.
  5. Add oats if using, followed by remaining yogurt and fruit.
  6. Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate. For the freshest banana, add its slices just before serving.

Cooking and storage notes

  • Wash produce and keep raw meat or fish, utensils and boards separate from ready-to-eat ingredients.
  • Refrigerate leftovers in shallow containers within two hours. Reheat cooked leftovers to 165°F / 74°C.
